Polk County Community Recreation Facility
Request for Prequalification

J.M. Cope, Inc. has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk by Polk County and will accept 1st-Tier specialty trade contractors’ prequalification application for the new Polk County Community Recreation Facility until Monday, August 17, 2026, at 3:00pm.

The project scope of work includes the new construction of a two-story, 33,331 square foot Pre-Engineered Recreational Facility featuring an additional 7,585 square feet of aquatics space situated on about 6.58 acres in Columbus, NC. The facility will be owned by Polk County and feature various programs and athletic spaces including Aquatic Spaces, a Gymnasium equipped for pickle ball, basketball, volleyball, Locker Rooms, Multi-Purpose/Flexible work out spaces, Studios, Wellness Areas, Office/Admin, and Common Areas.
